The ocean liner card has clean corners with slight postal marking on the front. It is postally used in 1951 and is a color litho. The caption reads

The full color interior of the cruise ship Jungle Queen II is in near mint condition. It shows the interior with the barbecue and the Black Minstrel Show. It was published by the Pan American Publishing Co. North Miami Florida. The ship operated out of Fort Lauderdale.

ANTIQUE SHIP POSTCARD FRIEGHTER BLACKHEATH
The light sepia printed photo of the freighter Blackheath is in good condition. Corners are a bit rounded and it has a one half inch corner crease. It shows the ship berthed at the dock in Aberdeen Washington. It is the P.N.C. Series and was published expressly for the P.O. Pharmacy and Book Nook Aberdeen Washington.

The four real photo cards are numbered 3057/2, 3057/3, 3057/4, 3057/6; so I would say there were six in this set, two of which are missing. The very attractive couple are shown posing in an open door, and the young woman with a wonderful spinning wheel, spinning wool. The cards are German

PRE1920 POSTCARD FAMILY COMEDIAN DAN LENO
The real photo postcard is of Dan Leno, his wife and family. He was considered to be the greatest English Victorian music hall artist comedian of all time and is shown here proudly posing with his lovely wife and family, three boys and two girls. (Check him out on Google.) It is in near mint condition with a little discoloration on the back due to album mounting. It is the Rotary Photographic Series by the Rotary Photo Co. Ltd. London E.C. C1903. Dan Leno was born in 1860 and died in 1904 so this and the other two cards date from before this. He was considered to be the greatest music hall and Pantomime performer of all time and was famous for his role as Dame Durden in

The real photo postcard is of Dan Leno, considered to be the greatest English Victorian music hall artist comedian of all time. (Check him out on Google.) It is in near mint condition with a little discoloration on the back due to album mounting. It is the Rotary Photographic Series by the Rotary Photo Co. Ltd. London E.C. The photographer was Davey and it is numbered 139A. Dan Leno was born in 1860 and died in 1904 so this and the other two cards date from before this. PRE 1920 POSTCARD LADY HAMILTON AT THE SPINNING WHEEL
This is a real photo sepia postcard of a famous painting by George Romney. Lady Emma Hamilton was an eighteenth century beauty who, although married, had many love affairs, not the least with Horatio Nelson to whom she bore a son. She died in poverty after Nelson's death. The card is dated 1906 and is number 1996 in the Woodbury Series. It is in good condition.

ANTIQUE PATRIOTIC POSTCARD GREEK FLAG KING CONSTANTINE 1916
The Greek glossy photogravure PC is postally used and in excellent condition. The stamp box has some pencilled inscription and a full postmark but it never had a stamp. There is also a full postmark on the front. I believe the figure to be King Constantine I Oldenburg of Greece with the Greek flag in the background.

2 PHOTO POSTCARDS OLD LADY WITH PRIESTS, FAMILY
The postally unused real photo postcards are in near mint condition. They show an old lady, clearly a widow, by her dress. In the first photo, she is flanked by two men in ministerial garb. The older one appears to be her son and the younger one, perhaps is his son. She is wearing spectacles and her eyes are open. In the second photo, the older man is dressed in street garb, although still wearing a clerical collar. The old lady is flanked now by a woman who appears to be her daughter-in-law and there is a young woman seated on the ground in front of her who is clearly her granddaughter. In this photo the old lady's eyes are closed and she seems to be dozing. Wouldn't you love to know the circumstances? The backs of the cards indicate an English origin.

The postally unused postcard is in excellent condition except for some album marks on the rear corners. It shows a view of Loch Katrine surrounded by a frame of the MacGregor tartan with sprays of thistles. It was published by Philco and is captioned

The postally unused postcard is in excellent condition except for a little paper residue on the back from being lightly glued in an album. It shows an animated scene of the Pavillion at Ganavan Sands near Oban in Scotland framed in the Dress Stewart tartan with sprays of heather. It is titled

The postally used postcard is in excellent condition. It shows a view of The Royal Arch at Dundee with a large spray of heather. It was published by Hartmann and is copyright 1906; captioned

POSTCARD MACGREGOR TARTAN EDINBURGH CASTLE
The postally unused postcard is in good condition except for some abrasion and a little glue damage to the back . It shows a view of Edinburgh Castle and Princes Street surrounded by a frame of the MacGregor tartan with the MacGregor coat of arms and sprays of heather. It was published by Valentine and is captioned

POSTCARD ALOIS LANG AS JESUS IN PASSION PLAY
The real photograph, postally unused postcard is four and one eighth by five and seven eighths inches. It states that it is a photo of Alois Lang as Jesus in the Oberammergau Passion Play. He is a member of the famous Lang family who were instrumental in producing the once a decade play and who are also related to the famous woodcarver, Alois Lang who lived in the late nineteenth, early twentieth century. The actor has signed this card on the front. The card is in excellent condition with a little corner bruising. I do not know the date of this card but I believe that I saw this man in the play in the fifties. (I was only a child then and could be mistaken.)

The postally unused Gruss Aus card has an undivided back. It shows soiling on all four corners from being in an album, otherwise it is in excellent condition.

PHOTO POSTCARD DIRIGIBLE JOSNES 1913
The Antique French photographic PC is postally used and is stamped on the front. Except for some minor album scuffing it is otherwise in excellent condition. It shows an airship apparently passing over the village of Josnes, which I can’t find in my National Geographic Atlas. It is titled;1231Josness (L.-&-.C)-Vue prise au passage du dirigeable-26 Septembre 1913.

The linen postcard is postally unused and in excellent condition. It shows flamingoes, swans and other tropical birds at Parrot Jungle in Miami, Florida.

ANTIQUE FANTASY POSTCARD PANAMA CANAL 1915
The cute card shows two female faces simulated as the Pacific and Atlantic, kissing when the oceans met on the completion of the Panama Canal in 1915. The card is titled; Meeting of the Atlantic and Pacific; THE KISS OF THE OCEANS 1915. There is a list of statistics: What everyone should know “It is signed by the artist; C. A. DelisleHolland and copyrighted1910 by P.P.I.E. Novelty Co.,San Francisco. Except for minor album markings on the back the card is in excellent condition.
